Hello, I found this painting in my grandparents' attic and I would like to know its story. If someone could help me, thank you in advance.

Hello to you!
I have the answer to your question because I have the same one! In fact, it’s not officially a canvas, but a dishcloth, or we could also say a tea towel (serviette for tea service). It dates from the 1960s. The painting depicted is by the French artist M. Longin, titled “MATERNITY.” It was commissioned by the company VONY for its collection. I bought mine from an antique dealer in Quebec/Canada.
I hope this clarifies things for you!

Hello,
it's a painting signed by M Longin

If you type M longin on the internet, you'll see her in the photos, and she is named African woman with her baby.
