Salut,
J'ai récemment reçu une publicité proposant un disque dur de 1,5 To, mais combien cela fait-il en Go au total ?

Hello,
B = Bytes = Bytes
b = bits = bits
So 1.5TB = 1.5To = 1500Go
However, with the giga-octet / gibi-octet conversion (see Wikipedia for the difference), a hard drive sold as 1.5To will actually provide 1396.98Go
That’s the main idea, to keep it short. -
Hello
one tera = 1000 Giga.
Thank you -
Hello
1 Tera = 1000 Giga
https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pr%C3%A9fixes_du_syst%C3%A8me_international_d%27unit%C3%A9s
So 1.5 T = 1500 G
Now regarding the unit
B = Byte
https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Byte
1B (byte) = 1o (octet) = 8b (bits)
1.5TB = 1500Go
But if as mentioned in the title we are talking about Tb (Terabits), then the capacity in bytes is to be divided by 8
and 1Tb = 187.5GoIt is very difficult to catch a black cat in a dark room.
Especially when it's not there... -
