Hello, today I made a purchase of 290€ on the Amazon website, and after payment, I was informed that my order was successfully placed, but ten minutes later I received an email stating that my payment was declined. So, I updated my payment details and clicked on retry, and I received an email saying "You have updated the billing address for your order. We will send you a confirmation email when your item is shipped" with the details that the order will be delivered on Friday, February 17th, etc. I would like to know if the order has been properly processed and whether it will be sent?

First of all, don't panic. At Amazon, you're only charged when the order is delivered; prior to that, it's just a verification.

Next, the message you received does not mean that the order is accepted. This message means that Amazon will check again whether the card can be charged. If so, the order will be confirmed, and then the delivery will be initiated. Otherwise, you'll receive a second equivalent refusal message.

Note that if an order is often refused due to non-acceptance of the charge, it usually indicates a problem with your credit card.
Either it's no longer valid, or the monthly spending limit has been exceeded with the price of your order.
Also, note that, for example, if your card is debited on the 25th of the month, banks only actually credit it on the 1st. So you might think that on the 26th you're back to zero, but in fact, this won't be the case until the 1st or 2nd. Your card will also be refused then.
