Impress Presentation for Creating a Slideshow

Hover the pointer over the slide pane and hold down the left mouse button,
drag the pane to the right
then
do the same maneuver by dragging it towards the left edge of the screen

I tested it and indeed it can be a bit finicky.

Fortunately, how it works exists and there are people who love to help!!!
I followed exactly the steps you indicated and voila, everything is back to normal.

Hello,
Thank you for your reply, but I'm struggling.
I think I moved the slide pane that is located on the left of the workspace because it was detached from the workspace.
When I open "Presentation," the mask of "Open Office" appears with a bar marked "Slides" on the left under the toolbar.
I have to click on the cross located on the right to remove it and be able to open my slideshow, which displays without the slides on the left despite the checks for (Sidebar, Slide Pane, Status Bar).
I'm sorry, but I must be hopeless not to be able to figure this out.
I'll try to restore the default settings; do you see anything else I can do?
