Maximum SD card size for EOS 500D

Hello everyone.
I searched for the answer to the question in the subject, without easily finding it. The Canon website and other sites quoting Canon specifications only indicate that the supported formats are SD and SDXC. Cool. So? I'm posting my experience.
The 500D is my first DSLR. I previously used it with medium-sized SD cards (2-8GB). Today (29/10/2016) I'm giving it a second life, and I need to upgrade the SD card. What is the maximum size accepted by the 500D? I can't answer that question. However, I tested a
- 64GB: failed
- 32GB: successful
The 32GB model is a Kingston micro SD class 10 45MB/s in an SD adapter of the same brand (pack with both). The reference is sdc10g2/32GB. You can find it on the common search engine.
