Compact Flash card error Canon EOS 400D

Hello,
I keep browsing the forums on the net to find answers to my questions, but I can't find anything very specific. I've had a Canon EOS 400D for a little over a year, and suddenly, after checking which compact flash card I had for a friend, all my troubles started.. When I turn on my camera, the screen displays: "Err CF There is a problem with the CF card. Replace the card." To be honest, I haven't tried anything other than removing and reinserting the card, the batteries, and the lens. But nothing works, yet the camera seems to be functioning well, given how long I've been using it.. But I can no longer take photos and I'm going on vacation in a week.. Please help me..! What should I do with my little gem?! Thank you in advance, I hope I will find answers that will really help me this time.

Well, I looked inside where the memory card is inserted, and I noticed the bent pins.

Hi,
try to format it under Windows (full format), then reformat it in the camera,
or you can follow the advice and buy another one,
and try to claim the warranty on the card.

I have the same problem, the block that receives the card needs to be changed (the pins are bent or broken) and they no longer make the connection. The cost of the repair is 250 euros, that's what the repairman just told me. It was the first time I removed my card... in 3 years.

I noticed one of the little 'spikes' was bent.. FML
I tried to look online for how much the repair would cost, one source says between €120 and €150, another says more than €300.. Just have to break the news to my parents.. Does anyone know how long it might take to get it repaired? 7 days before my vacation departure..

Well, no, I still haven't repaired my device.. So for now, I can't tell you, I wish I had more answers on this topic, unfortunately..

Hello, I recently had the same issue; I simply repositioned the twisted right leg, being careful not to break it, and now everything works as before.

Bonjour, j'ai eu le même souci avec la patte qui était tordue. Je l'ai tout simplement redressée en faisant attention à ne pas la casser, et maintenant tout fonctionne et je n'ai plus le message de la carte CF qui ne fonctionne plus.
