Deleting photos from an SD card

Hello,
I have the Samsung Galaxy Core Prime and my memory for photos and videos is starting to run low. So, I inserted an SD card. When I take a photo, it appears on both my phone and my SD card. I wanted to clean up my phone's memory, but when I delete a photo from my phone's memory, it also deletes it from my SD card!!! So I've lost a bunch of photos and I'm really upset!
Do you know why this happens, and especially what I need to do so that I can have my photos only on my SD card without deleting everything?

Thank you in advance, :)

    Hello

your story doesn't make any sense at all.. you say you take a photo and it would be saved both on the internal memory and the microsd? that's not possible... it's either one or the other... open your camera app then go to the settings icon and choose to save on the microsd instead of the internal memory... if you have anything else to say, please detail your steps so we can try to understand how you proceed

In my camera, it's the SD card slot that is checked.
In fact, what I don't really understand is that on my "My Files" icon, I have the same photos in my phone memory and on my SD card. When I look in my phone memory, I have 1GB of photos. So if I delete these photos from my phone memory, the photos on my SD card are also deleted.
I hope I was a bit clearer... it's true that new technologies aren't really my strong suit!! Anyway, thank you.

I don't understand your story... we'll proceed step by step..

Connect your phone to the PC in MTP mode.. WITH YOUR PC EXPLORER EXPLORE YOUR MICROSD ONLY AND TELL ME IF YOU CAN SEE YOUR IMAGES..

        If yes

turn off your phone, remove your microSD.

TURN YOUR PHONE BACK ON and go back to your file explorer and check your internal memory.. what do you see in the DCIM folder? for now, that's all.
