Hello,
For my PPT presentation, I used many transparent images, as I always do.
They look absolutely transparent on my computer screen when I'm in PPT, logically so, since these are PNG format images that are completely transparent. I am categorical about that.
Yet... When I print, there is a nasty gray border around all the images that ruins the presentation. It's incredible.
I have already tried several solutions such as:
- making sure the images are transparent
- ensuring that it’s not the printer (I put several of these images on Word before printing: no problem, completely transparent background)
- I tried the left-click on the image -> Format -> Color -> Transparent Color: did not work
In short, I am starting to despair... Please help!

Hello,
I'm not a colorimetry specialist, however in PowerPoint we work with RGB. Yet printers print in CMYK. So, when you print, there is a conversion from RGB to CMYK and indeed we often get surprises, usually bad ones, especially with transparency which is not managed.
As Raymond advised you, yes try on another printer, because it really depends on the printer.
Otherwise, try converting your file to PDF first and then print the PDF.
... and let us know!

Beware of herbal tea: it's a dangerous poison... -
Try another printer ...
And if you send an excerpt from your presentation, we'll try to understand what's going on!1) Go to https://www.cjoint.com/
2) Click on [Browse] to select your file (max 15 MB)
3) Scroll down to click on the blue button [Create Cjoint link]
4) After a few seconds the second page will appear, with the link in bold; right-click on it and choose "Copy link"
5) Return to your discussion on CCM, and in your reply message
paste it.
