Hello

I own a Toshiba 281c copier. It is stuck with the message C449.

Can you tell me what this issue is and the possible repair?

    Hello,

    Here is the training manual for this machine http://bmtec.free.fr/Doc/Toshiba/estudio281c.pdf which will certainly be very useful in case of any further issues...

    The C449 code on page 24 indicates a high temperature fault regarding the toner fixing system on the paper...

    So there is a technical problem like a thermostat that is not functioning properly or a foreign object is interfering and disrupting the temperature sensing and regulation... Or the paper isn't advancing... or the drum isn't turning and the temperature rises... that’s all I know...

    With the DOC and the machine in front of you, you can take measurements and make a diagnosis... otherwise, call the technician..
