Hello,
I bought an Asus A540S laptop on Tuesday.
It was my birthday gift so I was super happy.
However, this brand new laptop is running ten times slower than my old HP that was three years old...
So I would like to restore it to its original state and take it back to the store for a refund or to get another brand.
I read that for Asus you need to press F9 when the Asus logo appears, but no matter how much I press F9, nothing happens...
Any idea how to proceed, please?
Thank you for your help ;)

Hello
the laptops have the power-saving mode set to maximum when running on battery, which causes the processor frequency to drop to the minimum. So either you plug in the power supply or you change the power options to switch to normal or performance mode.

I have exactly the same problem with my new Asus that I just bought - very, very slow even though it's brand new. Did you manage to find a solution?
Thank you
