Hello, the file system type is NTFS, unable to lock the current drive. Windows cannot perform a disk check on this volume because it is write-protected

I am running Windows 10 and this follows an attempt to recover the system

    Hello, if x is the letter, try
    in CMD admin mode 
    chkdsk x:/f /r /x


    to force the dismount /x if it can't, it should offer it for the next reboot.
    Is X your Windows system partition? Are there any system/boot files?

    I think I'm smart enough to say that I don't know anything...
