Using a guitar amp as a speaker

Hello,

I organized a party with friends in a rented hall, and I would like to know if I can use my electric guitar amp as a speaker so that we can all listen to music, and for example be able to connect a phone or an mp3 player to it. The brand of my amp is "Samick" and it does not have jack inputs, only two sockets, one for the guitar and one for a special headphone. I am ready to buy additional equipment.

    Hello,
    You can give it a try, but the mic input of your amp favors certain frequencies and sometimes adds a bit of distortion...maybe not great for music, but if you have tone controls, you can try to correct it.
