Make a right triangle

Hello,
I am completely new to InDesign, I started using it recently for an assignment I have to submit for school. Anyway, I'm looking for how to create a right triangle, that is, a triangle with a right angle and sides of different lengths, if it's possible! I found how to make triangles with the polygon tool and in the Object>Convert Shape>Triangle section, but even when trying to resize them, they always end up being isosceles triangles (with at least two sides of the same length...)
Thank you very much if you reply, maybe I'm overthinking it a bit, but I like to do my work well and as I desire, a little perfectionism never hurt anyone, I could do it differently than with a right triangle but I would still like to know if it's possible?

Hello,

You draw a rectangle with the rectangular block tool.
You select it. Dropdown menu ---> Object ---> Path ---> Open Path.
You select the Anchor Point Deletion tool and you delete the point at the top right.

If you double-click on the polygon, you have an options box, and if you set it to 3 sides, you will directly get a triangle, but it will always be isosceles.
The simplest method is the line tool; hold down shift while you draw one side of the right angle, do the same for the other side, and finally connect the two with a diagonal.

Another solution is to set 3 sides on the polygon, hold down shift while drawing to get an equilateral triangle, then right-click, go to transform, distortion, and set it to 30 degrees in horizontal angle, and you will have a right triangle.
