Hello,
I’m writing this post to obtain, I hope, information about my case. Although I know this isn’t an automotive forum, I’m giving it a try anyway.
My situation is as follows: I have an AUDI A3 8P three-door model from late 2009. It had a minor collision, which is why I had to replace the rear bumper (with a compatible bumper, but the sensors are not identical in appearance: double circle instead of the small circle like on the bumper I had before). The car was repaired in body shop but it wouldn’t start after coming out of the oven, supposedly a problem with the instrument cluster from Audi, even though I’ve had the car for 4 years and it has never had any electronic issues during its 185,000 km. Anyway, they supposedly did what was necessary (welding at the instrument cluster because a relay had failed) and since I got my car back, the ABS and ESP warning lights stay on continuously, along with the message: "brake disruption, proceed carefully to the workshop."
Moreover, the sensors do not work; could this be due to a difference in the module that manages the sensors between a 2008 and 2009 year model which could be the cause of this dysfunction?
Thanking those who will contribute in part or in full to my request.
Best regards.
