Import problem in InDesign

Hello,

I have a .odt file that I want to import into InDesign while keeping the styles. But it's impossible with Open Office, InDesign doesn't recognize this type of file. What should I do?

    If you cannot convert your file from Open Office to Word 2007 format, try converting it to RTF and then use the RTF import filter in InDesign (be sure to select the filter).
