PC dead due to a USB key that caused a short circuit.

Hello,
I have or I had, I'm not quite sure yet, an Asus X200MA CT457H notebook.
As a little story, I had a USB key in my pocket (without a cap, of course). It turns out that a piece of aluminum from a chocolate wrapper (yes, I am a glutton) slipped inside this USB key... Anyway, it was only when I plugged the USB key into my PC and it suddenly turned off that I noticed my USB key had this piece of aluminum.
My question is simple: I tinker, so I was thinking that those who create this must have thought about putting one or more fuses. I wonder if it's possible to find the blown fuse and replace it. However, I don't even know what a fuse on a motherboard might look like.
So I am calling on your knowledge to guide me in my tests and ideally to resolve my problem at a lower cost.
If you need photos of the motherboard, no problem. Don't hesitate to ask for details.

    It's just a "weaker" track on the CI that serves this purpose... but, in my opinion, the limiter doesn't protect against a short circuit or polarity inversion, but well... one must scrutinize the CM, who knows, ! ;)

    Good evening....

    On a laptop, limited by space, they never put a fuse like in other machines... it's very likely that it's a trace on a printed circuit that fulfills this function and has blown... we need to find it and, not necessarily the easiest task, repair it....

      I've never seen a fuse on a motherboard, even a fixed one
      USB ports have their own current limiter (500 mA)

    You need to check the CM to see if you see any burn, even tiny one....
