Color a cell when another is non-empty

Hello,

I am a beginner, but I would like to color a cell when another is "not empty" and therefore contains a date, more specifically:

In column B, I have names - text. In G, there are sometimes dates and sometimes nothing. I would like the text in column B to be colored green when there is a date entered in column G and to remain black when there is nothing in G.

I hope I am not too confusing in my explanations...

Thank you in advance for your response.

Cé.

    Hello Cé

Select column B then Home - Conditional Formatting - New Rule - Use a formula to determine which cells to format...
enter the formula =$G1<>"" before choosing the desired format and validating

    Best regards
