Hello, my Dell is broken and I don't know where the problem comes from. I turn it on and everything is fine, the screen works, but when it gets ready to show me the login screen to enter my password, it restarts from the beginning over and over. I have to keep the charger plugged in, otherwise the laptop turns off. I don't know what the issue is. Thank you for your help, even restoring it doesn't bother me!

    Hello,

if you want to restore it, tap F8 right after starting it. Then you choose > Repair < and you should have the factory reset option.

    He suggests that F2 and F12 do nothing on F8, it's a Windows 8.

With Windows 8, you need to try holding down the Shift key and tapping F8 quickly. If that doesn't work, you need to go to the Windows 8 repair menu to enable advanced mode with various options.

Si you remove the battery and use it only with the charger, what does it give?

It doesn't work, it needs to stay plugged in, I don't know why.

You didn't understand! You start your laptop only with the charger without the battery.

I'm going to leave for the afternoon, we'll continue the discussion in the evening.

      Re...

Enter the BIOS with the F2 or F12 key, then check if you can disable secure boot. If it's possible, you then try using the F8 key to access the recovery menu.
