Hello, first of all, no, it's certain that it's not Scooby-Doo.
So, I watched it when I was a kid, so my memories have probably been altered over time, but let's try.
So, I believe the theme of this children's animated series involves all sorts of monsters, entities, and other paranormal phenomena happening in a city, and the protagonists are high school students who investigate these phenomena.
I remember two entities from two different episodes, but I'm not sure if it's the same series, but whatever! You never know...
The first one was about a high school student who either made dough (for eating, you know!) or did a chemistry experiment, but due to a "thing," this dough comes to life and forms a blob that devours everyone. And I think the heroes manage to capture it by trapping it in a room, then ensnaring it with another liquid or a vacuum cleaner (I can't remember).
The second one was about an old man who goes to the gym and trains on that thing for runners, I can't remember the name. And he drinks from a particular sports bottle because it's suggested that anyone who drinks water from this bottle turns into a sort of giant Mr. Hyde at night, scaring people. The "hero" of the episode asks him if he can drink from it; the old man agrees, and then he too scares people at night.
