Hello,
Wanting to install VHS or 8 mm videos on my computer from my camera or a VCR, I bought a Silver Crest box today at Lidl.
According to the instructions, I first installed the software, but I am encountering a first problem: Cyberlink PowerDirector tells me in a window that the application could not start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect???
As I am a novice in computer science, could someone please help me in simple and understandable terms?

Ouch!!! Someone else got tricked by those junk USB sticks for 12 bucks... try to get a refund and aim for a more reliable product
I recommend the Dazzle box which includes editing software.
You can also find it second-hand online and sell it when you no longer need it

There are exotic products like USB sticks and four wires, cheaper but be careful as they often lead to trouble, based on messages from desperate members on the forum

Thank you, Andy!! Following your advice, I returned the equipment I bought, but I'm at a standstill. The Dazzle box is quite expensive, and I'm afraid my knowledge won't allow me to use it properly. I'm feeling dejected. I find that having a specialist do this work costs too much. It's awful. Damn it!!!!!!!!!!

I'm willing to invest in a Dazzle DVD Recorder HD, but how can I be sure it will work?
Why is it that CLIMAX DIGITAL cannot read my VHS tape? Is it something to do with the PAL/SECAM format?
