Can you pay with gift card on Amazon Prime?

A bit of a silly question, but can we use Amazon checks to purchase Amazon Prime, please?

    do you mean paying for the Amazon Prime option with a gift card or using a gift card to buy something and benefit from the Prime option?

    in the first case, the answer is no! Amazon Prime requires a credit card.

    in the second case, I suppose the answer is yes (but I've never tried it) as long as you select an item, it can benefit from the Prime option.
