Hello
when I start my computer, it freezes for about 5 minutes... the hard drive light is constantly on
I checked the task manager: I only see programs other than Windows and Avira, my antivirus, in the list
CPU usage goes up to 90% and then drops to 2
memory goes up to 1.9GB and then stabilizes at 1.1GB
In the resource monitor
above the memory display, it says 100 hardware faults...
What does that mean?
Best regards

Hello
What is the amount of memory your PC is equipped with?
Page faults are primarily related to a lack of memory.

Page faults are primarily related to a lack of memory.
A page fault (also called a page error) occurs when the page of the referenced address is no longer in the physical memory from which it was swapped out or if it is available from a backup file on disk. It is not an error. However, a significant number of page faults can explain the high response time of an application if it has to continuously read data from the disk rather than from physical memory.
