--Hello, following a micro power cut my "old" PC with XP Pro crashed, showing invalid system disk. If I boot with the original CD the recovery function offers me the recovery console but I can't see which command will allow me to reload it. I can reinstall but I think I will lose my data. If someone can help me, thank you in advance.

Invalid system disk after a power cut is characteristic of a failed disk... first of all, dismount it and mount it in another machine to recover the data. Then try a formatting, and if that doesn't work, a low-level format.
