Hello,
When trying to install Windows Defender, the file downloads normally BUT when I proceed with the installation, I get Error 1327 Invalid Drive: E:\ and the installation cannot continue. E is actually my external drive that is not connected.
How can I install Windows Defender and avoid the error message?
Do I really need to connect my external drive?
Thank you for your responses.
Configuration: Windows XP Home Edition, Pentium 4, 1.8 GH

lol! The answer was found a long time ago!

Here, do this! :

Invalid drive issue.

This often occurs when a drive has been deleted or its letter has been changed.
The solution is to remove all references to this drive in the registry.
Procedure:

- Open Regedit.exe
- Edit menu: Find. In the field, enter X:\, X being the letter of the intruder drive.
- Delete the key that contains a path with X:\blablablabla\blablabla
- Press F3 to display the next entry and delete it
- Do this until the search yields no more results.
- Close the registry, and you're done.

If all goes well, you will now be able to install and uninstall programs without any issues.

I opened your program but there is no edit menu, only stuff like khey bla bla. Could you tell me more precisely, please? Thank you.
