Difference between Passive and Active Antenna

Hello,

I live in Lorraine. In quite a sleepy town. I’m in an apartment that doesn’t have an antenna but a rooftop aerial. I’ve tried several solutions, buying a passive antenna, then an active one, for 50 euros, 30 euros, and 20 euros, but the result is the same: I can't pick up anything... And I think my TV has a TNT decoder.

While waiting for the Free box, what is the actual difference between a passive and an active antenna...?

Configuration: iPhone / Safari 600.1.4

A TNT antenna, active or electronic, is a UHF antenna with a preamplifier 21/60 or followed by a preamplifier that requires a power supply voltage between 5 and 24 V depending on the model, often with an anti-jamming system for LTE 4G. If the TNT does not work, refer to the solution "Fransat" (= satellite forum).

A passive antenna does not have electronics, while an active antenna does, including a gain amplifier (active antennas also amplify interference).
