Cannot write in the cells

Hello,

I have a Mac. So far, I've had no issues using Excel until today. I'm unable to enter anything into the cells (numbers or letters), nor can I modify existing filled cells in files that I have created myself. I tried creating a new Excel file, but I also can't fill the cells. I can't figure out what unfortunate action I might have taken?
Can you help me?

Hello,

You may have accidentally protected your sheet. Place your cursor over the tab, right-click. If you see "Unprotect Sheet..." in the menu list, click on it.
