I would like to install a hard drive on my Sony PlayStation 2 console
How should I do it?
Do I need to download any software?

    You need to buy the Sony hard drive adapter
    then you need to install a software called key launcher on your memory card that will allow you to boot from your hard drive.
    You also need to install a software on the hard drive in addition to the games you've downloaded...

      Tu n'as qu'à entrer dans la carte mémoire, puis choisir le jeu et tu le copies dans le disque dur.

    Hello, I read the comments and I would like some information too. I have a PS2 but a slim one, so I already have a network port on it. So, is it impossible to use a hard drive, or can I go through the network port to put games on the hard drive?
    I already have the hard drive; I read a tutorial stating that it must be a Maxtor because it's compatible.
    Then I would like to know how to boot from the hard drive without a modchip, as I know the slim doesn’t support it well. Thank you.

    Salut, j'ai l'ancienne PS2

    J'ai donc acheté l'adaptateur réseau pour jouer en ligne, donc tout va bien

    Mais je n'ai pas essayé de mettre un disque dur malgré que j'en ai en stock

    Je voudrais savoir s'il y a un tuto pour les manipulations à faire

    Je parle des réglages ainsi que des noms de logiciels nécessaires

    Désolé de te dire ça mais, pour avoir un disque dur, il ne faut surtout pas télécharger car (peut avoir un virus, interdit de télécharger :P_) ensuite désolé mais tu ne peux pas carte mémoire oui
