Hello,

I recently created a rather basic website using e-Monsite and I copied it with HTTrack Website Copier. I made a complete copy and I would like to know if it is possible to change the domain name (for example: to have a .fr or .com) and to be able to upload it myself (that is, to no longer have a host) and manage it on my computer, not online.

Please also specify if it is free or paid and if any knowledge of HTML and/or website management is required.

Thanks!

    Good evening,

according to CCM: http://www.commentcamarche.net/sites/details/e-monsite.com emonsite directly offers the option to buy a domain name through their service and to keep your site as it is (without the need to copy/paste it).

Otherwise, I think it would be better to take your content (text by text, image by image and not with a website scraper) and distribute it "normally" on the Internet, so via hosting (which also offers domain names) like OVH, 1&1 (or others).

If you don't have any knowledge of Internet languages, you can use CMS like WordPress to create a site or a blog. Yes, WordPress doesn’t only allow you to create a blog but also to create a "traditional" site.

Yes, I do have an "Import" solution where I can import a blog or WordPress site.

I also saw about domain names: 35 euros for 1 year, that's quite expensive just for a domain name :/ because in reality I'm only 13 years old and that's not really in my budget ^^.
But I noticed that WordPress was quite complicated and I really want to keep my site because I think it's not too bad.

Otherwise, what is the best host (paid I imagine -_-) that offers .fr domain names and isn't too high in price? I noticed that 1&1 was really comprehensive, but are there other hosts that are just as good?

      Thank you.

You have free hosting if your site is a personal site https://www.luatix.org/en/
A domain name should cost a maximum of 15 or 18€ at most for .fr or .com; if you look you can really find cheap options (8 or 9€).
