I have already posted this answer in the other thread where you asked the same question.

According to the information I found, the Wifi extender sold by Orange is a rebadged Devolo device.

When plugged into a Livebox, it configures itself automatically: its SSID (network name) is the same as the Livebox's, and the security key is the same.

However, if it is not connected to a Livebox, it needs to be configured manually, as if you bought it directly from Devolo.

For that, there are 2 solutions:

- use the small software (Windows only) that allows access to the configuration interface.

- access the configuration interface via a web browser.
For that, you need to know the extender's IP address: it should be visible in the router's interface in a section called "connected devices."
Its MAC address can reliably identify it.
(otherwise, unplug/replug it to locate it)

Enter the IP address in the browser's address bar, which will bring you to the configuration interface, where you can set up the access point: enter a network name and a WPA2 key.

Your link to the Orange store shows an image... I would have preferred you read the technical references... Type, model, etc. that are written on its identity plate... Because as I said, they use several brands... and there are differences in usage... Some even have their own configuration software to connect to anything... But you need to know who you are dealing with.

Accessing the FreeBox is indeed done this way, I think 192.168.1.1 also works, but the FreeBox requires a password that you need to know. Then enter the configuration to access the menu and find everything that is connected to your FreeBox with its IP...

On my side, Freebox latest version and Orange WiFi Extender.

It worked very well for 48 hours and now I can't connect to the Internet. I've changed the configuration of the box. I can connect via WiFi but the box won't connect to the Internet.

As a result, I can detect the Extender, I can connect to it via WiFi and Ethernet, but whether it's from my computer or my iPhone, it tells me: no Internet connection. While it was working fine yesterday...

Very strange, I must say I’ve tried a lot of different configurations.

Well, I don’t understand… as soon as I plug in the Wi-Fi box, I see a Livebox network appear on my PC.

Yet I have indeed connected the powerline adapter, then linked it via Ethernet to the Freebox, plugged in the Wi-Fi powerline adapter, and finally paired the two adapters.

And when I launch the small Orange software to configure the Wi-Fi extender, I get an error message “Unable to find the router. Is the router turned on and properly connected to the local network of the computer?” I've tried connecting via Ethernet to the Freebox to repeat the operation, but without success.

I should clarify that I have a Freebox Crystal and the Wi-Fi extender adapters are 500 Mbps (and not 200 Mbps as I wrote in the title, I made a mistake).

You might be a bit too far (between the extender and the FreeBox), and depending on the day, it works or it doesn’t... I don’t know this distance or the thickness of the concrete that separates them.

There should be two configuration modes on this...??? I suppose

One is in "Bridge" mode and the IP number is transparent, the other in "Router" mode changes the IP group and you lose Internet.
