Reply to the sender after forwarding their email

Hello,

I emailed X and received a response. I forwarded the response to Y. Now I would like to reply to X, but I can't. When I click on "Reply" or "Reply to all," my email only goes to Y, and I don't want that. How can I send my response to X? Thanks to anyone who can help.
