USB vs RS232 Comparison

Hello everyone,

I have heard several times that a connection via RS232, although slower, is more reliable than a USB connection.
Could it be because the protocols used by RS232 are perhaps simpler or precisely slower? I must admit I can't find anything very explicit on the subject.

If anyone has a more complete and accurate answer than mine, I would be grateful.

Thank you.

    Hello

here is a complete tutorial on the difference between USB and RS232

what you write is true, it's slower but more reliable
the big advantage is that it's NATIVE with electronic components, no need for software to run a serial port!
