    Hello,
I received your message and I went to the LIGNE SUR ECRAN website, but I didn't find anything. What is the direct link? My PC is not dirty and I didn’t find anything to remove the 2 vertical bars. Can you give me more details, please? Thanks in advance.

I think this link was a bad joke: there is no solution, unfortunately (and no, your screen isn't dirty): you either have to change your screen or change your PC; and in both cases, either you pay for it yourself, or you get Toshiba to intervene (which they are reluctant to do and not very enthusiastic about). As for me, I’m going to buy a Samsung; Toshiba is done for me.

    Hello everyone!
Why escape the rule ...? Yesterday, September 30th, on my birthday (Saint Jerome!), a red vertical line appeared, almost in the middle of the screen of my Qosmio... So I join all of you to put pressure on Toshiba, hoping that the manufacturer will agree to cover the costs of this hidden defect... because it is indeed a hidden defect...
My model is a Toshiba Qosmio G30-223, purchased on March 31, 2007 at Fnac for the price of 1500 Euros (which initially cost 1900 Euros)!
This problem occurring for me after less than 3 years is all the more unacceptable given the price of the machine!!
    Reference: PQG32E-01400WFR
    Serial number: Y6673085G

Thank you for keeping me informed

    Hello Jerome
I also have this problem. I contacted Toshiba, of course, without any results. I deduce that this company is worthless, as well as the Toshiba brand; they are dishonest and only think about their profits.

    Hello,

Do you know if Toshiba has changed anything regarding the manufacturing of its screens or this issue in general? I just bought a laptop two months ago (August 2009), and seeing the 254 messages on this topic makes me a bit worried... My laptop is a Toshiba Satellites P300-220 (around €1000). It has already had display problems since the very first day, apparently due to the driver; this is another issue, and I hope Windows 7 will fix that...
    Any updates on your efforts?

Hello, I'm just getting back to you to inform you that since I am still under warranty with my Toshiba, I took it back to the store where I bought it, and they sent it off. Toshiba changed my screen panel, but now I find the screen to be awful. One out of five times when I turn on my laptop, the screen simply doesn't light up. I have to turn off my laptop and turn it back on for it to work. The first time, it came back on at the second attempt, but the second time, I had to turn it on, off, and restart it five times before the screen finally decided to light up...

    Good evening,
I have the same problem with vertical lines that increase in number over time on a Toshiba P100-478 laptop (17" screen) purchased in April 2007 at Carrefour. Will it stop one day?? (at least before the screen becomes unusable...). I am joining the collective action by sending my contact details to the email address mentioned several times on this forum.

Well, I came across this forum by chance. I wanted to replace my deceased HP with a Toshiba, it makes you think. Haven't you considered the possibility that it could be an issue with the video chipset? Check if your machine is equipped with an Nvidia, particularly 8600/8400 G, GT, or GS, especially the 7 series, particularly the 7800 GTX, 7900 GS, GT, GTX, and the 7950 GTX would be affected (They are defective). We have this problem with HP and all brands equipped with these series of graphics cards would be concerned. See on this same site: https://forums.commentcamarche.net/forum/affich-9370599-recours-collectif-hp-dv-9000?page=22
It may not be the same problem, but it's worth checking, it doesn't hurt to try.

Hello, I also have a problem with lines on a Toshiba Satellite purchased in late 2006 - early 2007.

It had been working perfectly until last month, and since then two vertical lines have already appeared; I'm afraid it will get worse.

I read in this forum that a legal action was underway.

    Where does that stand?

Here is the response from Toshiba:

    Sir,

Thank you, we have received your invoice with an extension that is not a Toshiba extension but from your reseller. Therefore, we confirm that your equipment has been out of warranty since June 9, 2007.

    Best regards

    Toshiba it's enough

the life of my Qosmio G30 (which is 2.5 years old today), what a disaster this device
in the first month, dead pixels appeared
within the first 3 months, motherboard dead after 1 year, just like the others, blue lines...........screen panel exchanged
after 2 years it's the same thing again.....................................again panel exchange
and 15 days after the panel exchange it starts again

Toshiba's promise to exchange the laptop not kept

I won't even mention the issue with the fan that runs like crazy (this chronic problem seems to be at the origin of all the screen problems......................... an internal overheating seems to cause bad contacts at the level of the graphics card processor)

return to customer service with a strange report: "Corrections of parameters"./ nothing more.
it comes back in the morning but I'm bracing myself because now I'm out of warranty.

MORAL: BUY YOURSELF AN ASUS, WITH THEM NO PROBLEM, I have 2 that run 10H a day for 18 months...................perfect

    Toshiba Qosmio G20 107 from 2005

A lot of problems with this PC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In 2008, noisy fan issue (I changed the fans)

Screen changed in 2009 (vertical lines) covered by Toshiba after a
letter to customer service (estimate €743) phew!!!!!

In 2010, here we go again, noisy fans (fan power supply issue on the motherboard, the technician (from my neighborhood) managed to save my PC without changing the motherboard (estimate for motherboard at Toshiba €1500, we must be dreaming!!!!)

    All this in 5 years!!!!

Hi, I'm back. About 2 years ago, my Toshiba screen also had issues with lines.

Since I was still under warranty at the time, by going through the customer service where I bought it (Fnac), everything was covered by Toshiba and the screen was replaced.

Since then, I haven't had any problems, except that one of the internal fans of the laptop doesn't work, so the computer heats up a bit.

    Hello
for my part, my discouraged son-in-law gave me a Toshiba Qosmio Player
    G30-223.
Small sporadic vertical lines the height of a letter appear everywhere on the screen at startup after the POST.
They disappear when I launch Hiren's Boot CD towards 13.1 with a French keyboard at startup.
The PC itself offers the choice of IDE at startup
    Launch Mini Windows XP
and you will see that it's perfect and that the graphics are the same as normal XP.
    All sound functions available.
Since this installation in the RAM memory of the PC, you may, if you’re lucky, be able to detect if it’s a virus and where it is.
But I don't have antivirus software that cleans the BIOS of peripherals.
I say it's a virus because from time to time the small lines turn into little faces or letters.
Does anyone have software for linking between PCs to fix or clean my laptop?
Or on a CD or USB stick
I am also looking for the original CDs that my son-in-law lost, which is why he is getting discouraged.
