Hello everyone! I just bought an 8GB RAM for my Gigabyte G41M motherboard (in single). The problem is that it is not recognized by the motherboard (rebooting repeatedly...). I don't know how to set it up correctly in the BIOS. I should add that it's to replace two old sticks of 2x2GB DDR2. The motherboard is revision 2 and the BIOS is up to date. Here is the RAM reference:
Crucial / CT102464BA1339/ 8GB DDR3 1333 UDIMM. I want to specify that I am indeed removing the two DDR2 sticks before inserting the DDR3 (the motherboard is dual channel), I am powering off for 10 seconds and all that... Thank you so much for your help!!!!!!

    Hello,

on the motherboard manual, you can note that only 4 GB per slot is supported.

An 8 GB module does not work on your motherboard.

    2*4 GB yes

see here for downloading the compatible references for the memory modules of your motherboard.

    click on Memory Compatibility.

Thank you very much for your very quick response!! But unfortunately, I have doubts (sorry :D), a professional seller sold it to me and he claims that this motherboard can accept 8GB on a single slot... So he doesn’t want to do an exchange... I suggested bringing the PC to the store but he convinced me that putting RAM in its slot isn’t that difficult... "It does it automatically"....
