800 fps on a TV. Nonsense.

Hello everyone, I'm 99.9% sure, but just in case, can you confirm that a 800 Hz TV (for example) will not display 800 images per second but a maximum of 200, and that the rest is just the panel's refresh?
Thank you to the experts.

    Hello

Are you talking about a plasma screen? If so, the number of Hz between an LCD screen and a plasma is not comparable, as they are not the same technology.

I found this which explains quite well

The 600 Hz of the plasma indicates that it is actually capable of changing the state of the pixels 10 times per frame - at 60 Hz, that effectively makes 600 Hz. But this is not comparable with LCDs, because the light state of the pixels formed by plasma is binary: on or off.

    To remember

No, 600 Hz plasma screens do not offer three times more images than a 200 Hz LCD.

But yes, they intrinsically offer excellent image fluidity. So these figures are indeed a justified exaggeration...

It's on the LCD for motion compensation; the processor won't produce up to 800 fps with the original one, it's a huge job.
