I'm in CS4. I'd like to do the same as in the example with Jimi Hendrix. see https://accounts.google.com/ServiceLogin?passive=1209600&osid=1&continue=https://plus.google.com/photos/110189025724948444785/albums/5973877252013893777&followup=https://plus.google.com/photos/110189025724948444785/albums/5973877252013893777

Here’s my little problem.
1. I created a text and put a spectrum layer underneath, then turned it into a clipping mask to see the color gradient of the spectrum in my text.
2. I added a black silhouette on top and I want to see the text in the black parts of this silhouette.
If my shape is vector, no problem creating a clipping mask again, but if it's a transparent path (which is often the case with free silhouette files), it doesn't work.
Do you have a technique to make it work? If not, is it possible to turn my transparent path into a vector shape and how (other than redrawing the outline with the pen)? Thanks in advance.
