Hello,
There's a number I don't recognize that has been calling me at STRANGE hours. They called me on Wednesday at 3 AM and today at 9 PM, and it's a weird number: +881835211605
I've read on several forums that you shouldn't answer and especially not call back, and that it's a scam, but I thought that this information wouldn't be enough. I saw online that a man was called by a strange number like the one that contacted me and that he received photos of himself from this number!! I got really scared, and then I remembered my friend who also received a strange call, and that made me even more scared!! So if you know something or if this number has called you too, please let me know, and I also blocked this contact, but what should I do? Is it a scam? If so, should I file a complaint? (I know it sounds like too many questions, but oh well lol) It's urgent, please help me...

The number is not hidden so block it on your phone and it's sorted.

If someone wishes you harm, harasses you, or assaults you, you can file a complaint... but the complaint comes after the harm and not before.
There is absolutely no grounds for a complaint here. A phone call is not an offense.

Otherwise... there is a 99.99% chance that this person does not particularly want to bother you to the point of coming to your door.

+881 = Mobile satellite service.. Can therefore be located anywhere.. Except in polar regions.. +881 8 = Globalstar operator..

The times are not strange since the caller may be in a time zone very different from yours..

No panic! Probably a dialing error.. By the way, is anyone talking on the bigophone?

Oh yes, we've all received "weird" calls.
You can pick up if you want, but it's advisable not to answer. What you definitely shouldn't do is call back.

If you have an iPhone running iOS 7, you can block the number

Otherwise, you have to ask your carrier to block it.

You can file a complaint in cases of nuisance calls or calls late at night (but since it's an international number, the complaint is likely to end up at the bottom of a drawer).

There is no such thing as a "preventive complaint."
There must be an offense for there to be a complaint. However, here there is just a call. One does not file a complaint for a suspicion of fraud based on a call that one did not answer.
