A phone scam is currently becoming more and more common in Europe. It concerns phone numbers beginning with +333, a dialing code reminiscent of French numbers, as well as +090, +088, and many others I suppose. Some clever individuals, probably mobsters, call a number starting with these codes. As soon as you pick up, an automated voice states that you still need to pay an unpaid invoice of a certain amount, or some people receive missed calls from a number... The goal is obviously to get you to call back a premium-rate number.

Thank you for your response. Indeed, I often receive calls from African countries, and the phone number starts with 09. Since I have set my phone to Do Not Disturb, I don't hear the ringtone. I dial 123 to check if I've received a voicemail, and I never get any messages... It intrigues me... Thank you for your advice...
