Good evening everyone, I recently bought a game for my son, Adibou: "I Read, I Calculate," and when I install it, everything goes well except at the end it shows: reader error director, followed by a yellow triangle, script error;
I don't know much, could you help me? thank you
Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 7.0

Hello, I had the same problem. Have you installed QuickTime and Acrobat Reader? I already had them, but I had to reinstall them for it to work.

Then I had the same problem, and the solution is very simple!
You need to uninstall the old version of Quick Time, then install Quick Time 6.
To uninstall, click Start, then Control Panel, then Uninstall a program, then click on Quick Time.
Then to install the latest version of this program, you can either search the Internet, or normally by inserting the Adibou CD-ROM, you will find among the options: Install Quick Time.
So you just have to click the button and follow the instructions!
It worked for me, and I hope it will work for you too!
Come on, good luck! :D

I also had a problem launching Adibou-Aventures inside the body, it said "unable to access and modify the database". I followed all the tips above and I finally managed to launch the game by right-clicking the icon and choosing "run as administrator" (even though I was already in my session and I AM an administrator, but well...). Now that the game is activated I can open it normally. On the other hand, after closing it I have to readjust the screen resolution again! Thanks for all these tips! Céline

Hello, I can’t get Adibou to work either...

New game, intended for Vista (Adibou reads and counts for 6-7 years) installed (several times!) on a new computer (Packard Bell) on which only "The Sims 2" has been installed, trying the Melmed trick (installed in a directory on c:\Users\...

The installation seems correct but when launching the game, when the Coktel emblem appears (the blue tree), the image and sound are choppy and the game freezes shortly after choosing a character and clicking OK...

Could this be due to a problem with the DVD (bad "pressing") or is there another trick to try? Is it a Windows setting that doesn’t work, or another program that creates a conflict?

Please tell me if you have any idea...

Hello

I also had the same problem (message: director reader error, then a yellow triangle, script error;). This issue occurred because QuickTime had not been automatically installed during the Adibou installation. When I installed QuickTime (the version that was already on the Adibou CD), the problem no longer occurred and the children could play quietly!

What you actually have to do is uninstall everything (ADIBOU+QUICK TIME) and then reinstall everything again. BUT BE CAREFUL: on Vista, the C drive where the installation path is proposed by default is not correct, since Vista imposes read/write rights constraints depending on the folders. So when the Setup asks you to define an installation directory, choose, for example (this works in all cases) c:\Users\YourLastName; and then, like magic, it will work!!

Hello,

The solution to my problem was to update the computer.
Although new, updating Windows and the drivers probably helped fix bugs.

I hadn't thought that a new computer might need an update...

Since then, no more problems!

Hello, I have an Adibou game but it dates from 1998 or 2000. Is there anything that could help me play it because the game doesn’t work?

Here I have a problem with saving on Web Creator 4. I fill in all the fields and when I validate it says “please fill in the yellow fields,” but there are yellow fields. Help me fix this problem, thanks in advance.
