When there is a power outage, my TV turns off. When I turn it back on with the TV's power button, I can no longer turn it off with my remote control. It's not a flat screen; it's an old Brandt TV, and I have a decoder for TNT. Please help me solve my problem.

Check if you put any batteries in!

Thank you for your response. I have put in the batteries, but when I press the remote to turn it off, there is a completely white screen that stays on all the time. My remote works fine because I can change the channels; it’s just when I turn it off that the screen turns white and stays that way for hours.

I have to turn it off only with the button on the device. If I turn it on with the device and turn it off with the device, the screen is normal.

Good evening, the solution (quite simple) is to change the television because yours seems quite worn out; it's done its time lol.
