Hello,

In searching around on my laptop, I found the file "Hosts.ics". Inside this file (opened with a text editor), it says it is used to communicate between computers on a local network...

But what is it really?
Did I correctly interpret the purpose of this "Hosts.ics" file, or does it not serve that purpose at all?
What is the actual use of this file located at "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts.ics"?

Thank you in advance :)

Best regards,
Alain2131.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 28.0.1500.72

Hello,
First of all, thank you for this quick response :)

Secondly,
I'm trying to understand as much as possible about how my Windows 7 works, just for fun (I'm having a great time with the hosts file (no extension) ^^), and I was just wondering why this file is there.

Thirdly,
Thank you for this link; once we found the right paragraph on the page, it is very clear. Thank you very much :)

Best regards,
