Remove checkboxes
Solved
Hello everyone.
I received an Excel file containing checkboxes that I don't need.
Additionally, because of the column containing these checkboxes, the page is too wide when printed... Deleting the column doesn't remove the checkboxes!!!
To delete these checkboxes, I "found" a way to do it, namely: right-clicking on the checkbox, cutting (CTRL X), and so on for each checkbox... which takes a ridiculous amount of time!
Is there not a faster way to remove all the checkboxes on a page in one operation?
Thanks already for your answers.
Claude.

Hello
To delete, add a small icon in the ribbon that will allow you to erase all items at once (with the option to choose the items)
to add the icon in the ribbon:
Click on the OFFICE button
Click on Excel Options (at the bottom)
Click on Customize
in the pane "Choose commands from the following categories," select "commands not available on the ribbon"
search in the list for "Select multiple objects"
click on Add then OK
from there, click on this icon that has been added to the ribbon, all the objects on the sheet will be displayed, you just have to make your choice and delete?
after the operation, click on the icon again to disable it.-

Hello everyone,
Well, I'm stuck too. My list is empty even though there are about ten checkboxes, and on top of that, I can't select the "design" of my checkboxes. I can only check or uncheck them.
I’ll keep searching the site, but in any case, if someone could help us...
Have a great day, everyone.

Here are the results of my research. Not academic but effective. Aimed at those who are clueless about computers (like me). I did:
- clicked on the downward arrow near the add-ins toolbar.
- Selected: more commands
- Choose commands from the following categories,
- Commands not in the ribbon (line below)
- Checkbox (ActiveX control)
- Add (between the two boxes)
- Ok (at the bottom of the screen)
the checkbox icon appeared on my personal ribbon.
- Click on this new icon
- Select the intruder(s) in the document. You can select multiple by using Ctrl Alt.
- Right-click and select cut.
It doesn't always work, but with persistence, it’s okay.
Good luck with Excel and thanks to those who responded earlier and inspired me.
