Hello,
I would like to know if it is possible to open a 1 GB csv file?? Or is it impossible to open??
If I manage to open it, will the software be able to display everything??
Thank you in advance.

Hello,

I confirm, no problem displaying everything in this type of file.

However, be careful if there are macros or nested calculations. In case of modifications, processing can be very slow; you need to remember to temporarily turn off Excel's automatic calculation:

Office button/Excel options/formula tab/uncheck automatic for manual

Best regards

Hello,

1GB is not too much, so you can try it, and normally the file will display everything.

Have a nice day

In Excel, you will be limited by the number of rows and columns depending on your version.
65,536 rows and 256 columns in Excel 2003, much more in 2007 and later versions.
You have the Libre Office suite for free.

Or just simply a NotePad:

In my opinion, it's simpler and more readable for searching for information.

A .csv is a data file.
It will be much more readable and will allow for much more manipulation (filters, sorting, ...) in a spreadsheet.
