KASPERSKY lost password Closed

Question

Hello, I’ve reached the end of my Kaspersky antivirus license that I’ve been using for years and I want to switch. Previously, I used to purchase the upgrades with a license for a year, and now I’d like to try a different one, but I can’t remember the Kaspersky password that’s needed to uninstall it, otherwise it blocks all new installation attempts of any other antivirus. I still have the update CD but I don’t know what I can do to uninstall this program without having to completely erase it from C:/, which would leave some messy leftovers

Thanks to anyone who is more skilled than me to find out how to solve my problem.

In the meantime, my computer no longer has protection since Kaspersky has stopped doing its job and no other antivirus can be installed

No help can be provided for recovering a password or code. The requester may be acting in good faith (and their good faith is unprovable) but the solutions provided could then be misused for hacking!

So:

▶- cultivate your memory,
▶- ask the administrator,
▶- avoid certain actions in the future
▶- be vigilant with the keyboard (check for uppercase and lowercase)

Which antivirus do you want to try? You need to download the future file and run it through the antivirus before uninstalling Kaspersky. But it's a shame to part with it, as it is excellent. Moreover, when renewing, you are entitled to a promotional offer.

There is no password to uninstall it, and it does not maliciously block the reinstallation of another antivirus. The rule is simply: one antivirus at a time, otherwise there will be a conflict. This applies to all antivirus programs. Therefore, they must be uninstalled properly. It is imperative to close the application before uninstalling; otherwise, there will be traces left behind.

How to do it?
1) Right-click on the Kaspersky icon located in the notification area on the right. In the dropdown menu that opens, click on "Quit".
2) Go to Start / All Programs.
3) Look for Kaspersky. Right-click on it.
4) In the dropdown menu, click on "Remove Kaspersky".
The uninstallation wizard will do the job.

Hi, Bridget. is right, Kaspersky is a very good antivirus however, if we check this box ---> https://www.cjoint.com/c/CFgcJX9Jawx it will then be impossible to uninstall it without this famous password  there is indeed a tool to address this issue but it seems to be available only for the Internet Security version ---> http://support.kaspersky.com/fr/faq?print=true&qid=208286625 but it should also work for Kav (Kaspersky Antivirus) since they use the same registry keys so just do what is stated in the link in safe mode! note: x86 = 32 bit  [besides, I don't think this method is against the rules (Kaspersky created this "tool" for a reason) since it's just an antivirus and not a computer or phone that could have been "stolen"... so, if I'm wrong about this topic, I apologize in advance ]
