Run a .sh on Windows 7

Hello,
I am a beginner in this area, and I need to run a sh script on a PC (Win7). I would like to know if it is possible to run a sh script with/without Cygwin or Gow?
I did several searches, but I keep encountering a lot of contradictions...
I installed Gow, launched my script and Windows asked me which program it should use...
I don't know if I am in the right forum category, if I’m mistaken please excuse me!

    No, it is impossible to execute a "BASH" script on a Microsoft environment without external utility help such as Cygwin.
