Hello,

On the remote control, you have two cables, one with a jack plug that connects to the green jack socket on your PC's sound card and the other, larger one, connects to the CONTROLLER socket on the back of the subwoofer.

The right satellite speaker connects to the red RCA RIGHT socket of the subwoofer and the left satellite speaker connects to the white RCA LEFT socket.

Thank you very much, but on my laptop, I only have 2 outputs for jacks without color, one for audio and the other for headphones. However, the speakers (2 out of 3) only work when plugged in reversed! I think there might be an issue with the sound card, but I'm not sure where to look.

"2 outputs for jacks"

--> One for headphones (where you plug in your Altec Lansing 2.1 setup) and one for a microphone, I suppose.

"only work when plugged in reversed!"

--> What does that mean?

What is the brand and model of your PC?

My laptop is a Packard Bell P7YSO.
I plug the orange cord from Altec into the headphone jack and the other black cord into the microphone output! But normally, I should only connect the orange cord. However, it doesn't work alone... With both, there is sound, but one speaker is not working! It's strange...

"packard bell P7YSO"

--> Don’t you have something like EasyNote "blablabla"?

"I’m plugging the orange cord from Altec into the headphone jack and the other black cord into the microphone output! But normally, you should only plug in the orange cord. But alone it doesn't work... with both there is sound but one speaker is not working! It’s strange...."

--> Can you take a picture to show me?

What is "easynot"?
Listen, it's very kind of you, but I'm a bit overwhelmed right now! I don't have the energy to take a photo, etc. ...I think I'm going to go back to the store where I bought the speakers with my computer! On top of that, I'm having some issues with it at the moment! I must have picked up some viruses! Thank you so much, really have a good evening.

"What's this "easynot"?"

--> A part of the model. Under your PC, you should find the rest. Example: Packard Bell EasyNote LE11-BZ-010FR.

Actually, I didn't understand what you were plugging into the microphone jack because from what I saw on the Internet, there's only one jack on your 2.1 kit.

As for the viruses, I can help you, but you'll need to find a bit of courage deep within yourself ^^

Otherwise, for the rest, we'll see tomorrow if you don't mind! I have to get up early... but it's really very nice of you to help me if you can wait!

This PC has a Realtek audio chipset, you should have the Realtek HD Audio Manager in the Control Panel to adjust the sound.

Good night, see you tomorrow.

Hello
yesterday I went back to where I bought the speakers, with my PC..... and miracle! everything worked on the first try!!! it's a mystery.... when I got home, I reconnected it like they did (just the orange cord) and it worked! great! I was happy.... but it didn't last.... my PC wasn't plugged in and when I plugged in the power cord! it started again..... in fact, I understood that it must be due to an electrical interference; I think it's coming from my Freebox! I'm going to try unplugging it to test!
but above all now it's my PC that's worrying me! since someone did a cleanup for me, there are problems! already I can't type because my cursor jumps around everywhere when I type! and it's not the mouse because I tested it! !!!!! and I don’t know what to do anymore!

"1 person gave me a cleaning"

---> What kind of cleaning?

You can put your kit 2.1 in another room to test it, and instead of connecting it to the sound card of your PC, connect it to an MP3 player.

Hello
I don't have an MP3 and I don't see where to connect them elsewhere! What I would like is to unplug my Freebox, but I'm afraid it will be complicated to reconnect it without any issues afterwards!
