Hello,
I create images in Illustror.
Then I go into Illustrator and use the "save for web" command.
But.... when I try to view them on the website I'm creating, I get a red cross!
Can you help me?
Thank you!

Make sure to convert your images to RGB and everything will work!
Indeed, IE does not accept CMYK JPEGs ;) -
The red cross means that the image path is not correct.
It occurs in the <img src="bla bla bla"> tag.
The "bla bla bla" is the path to the image on the server, I think it needs to be checked at this level.

HI
Your problem is a linking issue where the links are not pointing correctly to their targets!!! There's a good chance they are pointing to images on your PC and not to the images on your host!!
So check the image links!!

Hi,
between
"Then I go into Illustrator using the "Save for Web" command"
and
"I try to visualize them on the site"
what do you do with your images?

Thank you for your responses, but...
Once the images are created, I use Dreamweaver to build the website.
It doesn't seem to be a link issue: if I perform exactly the same operation with other JPEGs, retrieved from elsewhere and not created in Illustrator, the image displays correctly.
There is likely a subtlety in the way the image is saved... and I think that's where the problem lies... but I'm stuck...
Does anyone know more?

Hi,
what's your question doing here?!
start a discussion topic just for you, and you will probably get more answers.
and please, tell us exactly where the mistake is and/or give the code of the problematic link.
solving problems, why not when we can!
but not looking for them…

I had the same problem, so I went to Control Panel, Network Connections, Internet Options, opened it, clicked on Advanced, and then clicked on Reset. For me, it worked—no more red cross. Restart. Hi everyone!
