Configuration: Mac OS X Lion (10.7.4) / Safari 6.0

how to use the MacBook Air keyboard to write chemical symbols like water H2O by positioning the "2" below the H???

    Good evening,

    With Macs, this feature is mainly found within the programs themselves.

    In Word, NeoOffice, and others, after selecting the relevant character(s), you need to go to the Format menu > Character and find the "Subscript" function (smaller character size positioned lower than normal).
