The subject is a bit dated, but to address this problem, the solution is indeed to disable the secure boot of Windows 8. To do this:

-Go to Windows 8 Settings and then click on Change PC settings

-Select General and then at the bottom Advanced startup and click on Restart now

-Your PC will restart and a screen will appear; click on "Change UEFI Firmware Settings"

-After the machine restarts, you will enter the BIOS; go to the "Security" tab and disable secure boot ("secure boot: disable")

    -Save and restart

    Sincerely!

I can't disable it, the secure boot thing is blocked.

I have the same problem, unable to change the UEFI BIOS data, it's locked.
