Hello, here is my problem. I have a Toshiba flat screen 102cm 40 RL 838 and everything was fine. When trying to use the remote to turn on the TV, the green light doesn’t turn on (as if it was still in standby). I changed the batteries but still the same result. I bought a universal remote but nothing works. The TV turns on without the remote. Can you tell me if it’s a problem with the TV or the remote? Thank you.

Good evening, every now and then, I have this little issue with my Sony KDL-40BX400 as well, and I found that by pressing the power button on the remote about twenty times, at a certain point, the TV makes a little click, then I press the P+ button or the power button, and the TV starts working normally again; it might be the same for yours, it’s worth a try.
