Problema cartel de prohibición, dependencias de paquetes...

Hola,
Hace algún tiempo, al arrancar, aparece un cartel de prohibición. Al pasar el ratón sobre él dice:
"Ha ocurrido un error. Ejecute el gestor de paquetes desde el menú contextual (clic derecho) o apt-get en una terminal para ver qué está incorrecto. El mensaje de error era: "Errores de paquetes rotos > 0". Normalmente, esto significa que algunos de sus paquetes instalados tienen dependencias no satisfechas."

es muy molesto porque una simple instalación se vuelve imposible.. (mensajes de error ..)

    Hola,
    ¿Qué distribución tienes? si es Ubuntu o derivados:
    Abres un terminal y copias/pegas esto:
    sudo apt-get update (teclea la contraseña en secreto) y entrar

    Gracias por tu respuesta, estoy en Ubuntu y una vez ejecutada tu orden esto es lo que obtengo, una serie de líneas y en las últimas diez aparecen errores!

      Hola, En el gestor de paquetes, debes ir a configuración → fuente de software (repos) → software adicional, y desmarcar la casilla que corresponde al CD-ROM. Luego recarga y verifica si hay actualizaciones. A+ Edición: repositorios y no fuente de software

      Lo siento por la respuesta algo tardía, pero aquí está: hice lo que me dijiste y vuelvo a encontrar errores...
      volví a ejecutar la orden sudo apt-get update y encuentro esto hacia el final:

      ¿Es Précise Pangolin lo que has instalado?
      Yo desmarcaría todo lo relacionado con Quantal.
      Pero puedes esperar opiniones de alguien más autorizadas porque ahora no veo...
      De todas formas, las direcciones son incorrectas para Quantal. Intenta recuperar las correctas.... Tal vez haya conflicto también entre estas dos distribuciones...

      Desmarcando todas las casillas de quantale, ¿no corro ningún riesgo y ya no tendré problemas? Si es así, voy adelante con tu autorización porque de verdad es muy molesto no poder instalar nada…

      no tienes absolutamente nada de qué preocuparte. te va a poner pangolín al día si no se actualizó cuando lo hiciste. pero me surge la siguiente pregunta: ¿por qué hay Quantal además?

    Buenas noches,
    Sé que lo que hago se llama desenterrar un tema muy vulgar, pero como nunca se ha publicado una solución, les propongo la mía (lo sé, quien tuvo el problema ya lo superó hace 2 años, bla bla bla. Pero es el primer enlace que se ve desde Google y no aporta ninguna solución.
    Por mi parte, tuve este problema y lo resolví con el comando 
    sudo apt-get install -f

    Lo que tuvo como efecto revisar las dependencias insatisfechas y resolver el problema de la mejor manera (para mí, fue desinstalar los paquetes innecesarios que no estaban satisfechos).
